It’s another doozy of an evening here in Philadelphia. The weather’s perfect and there are things going on in every corner of the city, so there is no excuse not to get outside and enjoy the offerings…

Last month’s Night Market was epic and tonight’s promises to be no different. More than 50 of the city’s best food trucks in one lucky neighborhood. Yes, please.

Same sentiment for a free outdoor screening of Revenge of the Nerds at Drexel Park as part of Awesomefest. Awesome, indeed. Bring a picnic and enjoy an amazing skyline view.

And don’t forget about Visit Philly’s Summer Love Ale Kick-Off Party at Morgans Pier — the first 100 people get a free Summer Love Ale and there may even be a surprise appearance by the Uwishunu Beer Boot.

West Oak Lane Night Market: The popular Night Market makes a triumphant return tonight, and this month visits West Oak Lane from Ogontz Avenue from Wooster Street to Middleton Street. From 6 to 10 p.m., live entertainment abounds, and more than 50 food trucks, drink providers and local restaurants serve up tasty treats and drinks to festival goers. On the libation side, highlights include brews from Sixpoint Brewery, wine from Penns Woods Winery and Philadelphia-distilled gin, whiskey and vodka from Philadephia Distilling. On the food side, look for Pitruco Pizza, Local 215, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Surf and Turf Truck, The Cow and The Curd, Alla Spina and much, much, much more.

Visit Philly's Summer Love Ale Kick-Off Party: Join us tonight as we celebrate summer and Victory Summer Love Ale at Morgan’s Pier. Get there early; the first 100 people to show us that they follow Visit Philly on Instagram, Twitter and/or Facebook will score one Summer Love Ale draft and koozie on the house! (There will also be a limited amount of Uwishunu Beer Boots to giveaway to people that follow Uwishunu on Instagram.) All night long, Summer Love Ale pints will be $3 a piece, and chef George Sabatino has created special eats just for tonight’s event. Be sure to “post your toast” to summer, on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtags #SummerLoveAle and #VisitPhilly.

The Awesome Fest Outdoor Film Screenings at Drexel Park: Beginning tonight, The Awesome Fest’s outdoor film screenings make their first appearance at University City’s Drexel Park for the summer-long ’80s film and music festival. Tonight, catch a free screening of ’80s favorite, Revenge of the Nerds on the 30-foot screen. The film begins at dusk (about 8 p.m.). Plus, starting tonight and continuing throughout the fest, each week at Drexel Park there will be a chance to win an awesome West Philly prize pack valued at more than $100 with Visit Philly's Tweet From Your Seat contest. All you have to do is follow @VisitPhilly and fill in the blank with why you think Powelton Village is awesome. Be sure to tag #PoweltonVillage #AwesomeFest.

Third Thursdays Live and Local at Race Street Pier: Happy Third Thursday of the month! Race Street Pier hosts its first Third Thursdays Live and Local performance of the summer. The recurring concerts bring some of Philly’s most talented local artists to the stage for an evening of free performances. The concerts feature both established and up-and-coming talent. Tonight’s performance celebrates Black Music Month with performances by Dice Raw, Lushlife, Jade Alston, D'Vina and DJ Benz from 6 to 9 p.m. Performing musicians are hand-selected by local producers, artists and promoters, and presented by the good people at the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.

Schuylkill Banks Movie Nights at Grays Ferry Crescent: The Grays Ferry Crescent Esplanade (which just opened last summer) at Schuylkill Avenue and Wharton Street welcomes the first of three outdoor films tonight. Tonight, watch a free screening of Despicable Me that is set to begin at dusk (about 8 p.m.), and take part in a free raffle from Philadelphia Runner. Also enjoy free pre-movie snacks and drinks.

Summer Solstice Salsa Party at Morris Arboretum: Groove to the tunes of salsa and Latin music tonight at Morris Arboretum’s Summer Solstice Salsa Party. Celebrate the eve of the summer solstice as local group, Caf Con Pan Band, provides festive music from 7 to 8 p.m. Practice your finest salsa moves with Cheryl Ingram, owner of Lace It Up Dance Studio, who will offer free salsa dance lessons from 6 to 7 p.m. Parking is limited, so advance purchase and carpooling are recommended. While at the event, enjoy craft brews from Iron Hill Brewery and fresh salsas. Tickets are per car, not per person, and are $30 per car at the door. Morris Arboretum receive a $5 discount.

2013 Etsy Craft Party: Good news, crafters. Tonight is the fourth annual Etsy Craft Party a one-day global event. This year’s Etsy Craft Party asks its participants to tap into Craft for Community, and use their artistic talents to benefit their hometowns by working together, sharing creative skills or combining craft with philanthropy by partnering with a local organization. Both 3rd Ward Philadelphia in South Kensington and NextFab Studio in Graduate Hospital are each are slated to host crafting events for the public. 3rd Ward Philadelphia starts the party with a Philly-style potluck and NextFab Studio invites attendees to get crafty while creating a DIY planter. For those looking to art and craft in the comfort of their own space, host your own Etsy Craft Party, and be sure to utilize the party throwing tips here.

Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby at Eastern State Penitentiary: Sports and history come together this evening at Eastern State Penitentiary. Tonight is the first of three sports-themed events in this summer’s "Exploring Sports & Rec" series. For $25, gain access to the prison and a chance to swing in the Home Run Derby. Admission also grants guests access to beer and snacks. Show off your athleticism tonight at Eastern State’s historic baseball diamond.

Third Annual Mad Hatter Garden Party: After a rainy Thursday cancellation last week, the third annual Mad Hatter Garden Party at the Philadelphia History Museum at The Atwater Kent returns tonight, June 20 and invites guests to don their most elaborate hats and Cheshire Cat-sized smiles for tonight’s event. Tonight, enjoy tea-party-sized treats, special-tea cocktails by Philadelphia Distilling, and live, jazz-era tunes from The Gin Canaries. Vintage hats will be on display in the main gallery, and exhibits will remain open until 7 p.m. Guests are also encouraged to take part in the raffle which offers guests Phillies tickets, a Tria gift card, a family membership to Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, tickets to the Elmwood Zoo, and a gift certificate to a performance by the Chamber Music Society. Tonight’s event raises funds for museum visits for school groups. Tickets are available online.
